The sound of Birds

I think this is a beautiful picture! It caught my eye the minute I saw the thumbnail. Although it is based on another picture, I really like your take on it.

I love the intricate, almost lazy watercolour birds, and the use of blending within them. The blotches of ink look like they belong in the picture and the use of colour is really clever. In a way, it looks like several birds have flown onto the page and you have splashed some paint to complete it.

My only critique is the fact that just one of the birds (far right) looks a little too lazy. Maybe just adding a little detail, like the outline of small feathers would really finish it off.
